Welcome to 2021! We made it!
Let’s celebrate with some goodies to help us feel our best. This month’s promos support skin, digestion, cravings and taking a deep breath.
Smart and Sassy: 10% off (CAN)
Smart and Sassy is the “metabolic blend”. In Canada we call this blend “Smart and Sassy“, vs. the US market where it’s called “Slim and Sassy”. It’s exactly the same thing, except this month the 10% off deal is for Canadians only.
I use this oil every single day. In the evening when I want to keep my hands out of the cookie jar, I pump up some bubbly water in the Soda Stream and add to a big mason jar with 1-2 drops of S&S. The S&S blend is complex enough to cut through those bubbles and make for a very satisfying evening beverage. I have completely replaced any desire to grab a cola with this yummy blend.
The blend includes Grapefruit, Cinnamon, Peppermint, Lemon, and Ginger. These are all great oils for digestion and metabolic support. I will say, it does help me keep my hand out of the cookie jar, especially when adding to bubbly water. I have also noticed decreased post-dinner digestive discomfort, if you catch my drift.
If you need a little help to get back on track after the holiday, take advantage of this month’s sale on S&S.
Smart & Sassy is 10% off in the Canadian market in January 2021.
Peppermint Softgels: 25% off (US)
Our US market gets a great promo too, and an even greater discount! In keeping with the digestive support theme these little Peppermint Softgels are spectacular for intestinal distress.
The Peppermint Softgels are enteric-coated, which means they release when down into the gut. Basically, if things are a little too “active” in that region, this is what will help you. If you know you’ll be eating something that might not agree with you, take 1-2 of these before your meal. They work afterwards too.
Want some proof? Check out this study (one of many) that shows the benefits of using Peppermint oil capsules prior to colonoscopy. I’ll just leave it at that.
Peppermint Softgels are 25% off in the US market in January 2021.
New Product: Air-X
This gorgeous blend was released in November BOGOs so maybe you already have some. If you need some respiratory support or just love the blends that make you take a deep breath, Air-X is a great one for you.
It’s different from Easy Air/Breathe in that there is no Peppermint in it, so it might be a nice change for you. It’s a lot more citrusy thanks to the Litsea in the blend. It’s really lovely.
If you’ve followed my posts for a while you should know what to expect from these oils. Citrus oils for lifting the mood, Frankincense for everything (especially anxious feelings and concentration), and Cardamom to open up those airways. Litsea to me smells a bit like Lemongrass, and is uplifting and energizing.
Free Product of the Month: Tea Tree Touch
Everyone should have Tea Tree in their home medicine cabinet. Even if you don’t know anything about essential oils you probably know a little something about Tea Tree. Here are the ways we use it regularly in our home.
Tea Tree for Cuts
I got a little cut on my finger last night. No big deal, but it’s from a can in the recycling bin and it was angry this morning. I washed it really well and applied Tea Tree Touch around the area. When I started typing this morning the cut yelled at me every time I hit D, E or C, but now I’m good to go. It took the redness down and it’s feeling better.
Tea Tree for Skin Imperfections
Picture it: you have a photo shoot tomorrow and you wake up this morning with a volcano on your face.
Ask any teen and they’ll tell you Tea Tree is the thing to use in this situation. Don’t be put off by the coconut oil in this diluted touch format, it doesn’t tend to clog pores (though you know your skin better than anyone). Will it zap that zit within the hour? Of course not! But just like my cut incident, it does help to bring down the redness and helps speed healing.
Tea Tree for Nail Issues
You know those annoying nail discolourations that just don’t go away and nothing works on them? I experimented on my son and here’s what we found. If he was good about applying Tea Tree Touch every morning and night, as the nail grew in it came in healthy. The diseased nail grew out and the healthy nail grew in.
He did it for about a month and we saw improvement. Then he stopped and the nail reverted to its old, icky habits. So, for this to work you need to be diligent, apply every morning and night, give it a good 3 months and do not miss an application.
This promo is available in both Canada and the US this month to those of you on the Loyalty Rewards Program. Of course you can always just buy it, but if you’re getting other things anyway you might as well get this staple for free, right?
Tea Tree for Energetic Blocking
I’m one of those people who absorbs other people’s moods, especially the negative ones. Grumpy, aggressive, down, angry… those are the ones I absorb. My friends who know about the energetic side of the oils swear Tea Tree can help protect against this emotional absorption. I don’t know how much of it I believe, but hey, I have Tea Tree so why not?
If you need this too, apply Tea Tree Touch before a potentially draining situation. I think it goes on the forearms but I’m not sure. I just put it on all over the place. It won’t make anything worse.
Tea Tree for Cootie Blocking
Not really much of an issue these days, but the creepy crawlies hate Tea Tree. Roll some on your hands and apply to scalp and hair. Roll around the hairline. Colour the kids’ backpacks with it. You get the idea.
Tea Tree Touch is free on Loyalty Rewards Orders of minimum 125PV, placed by midnight MST on January 15th, 2021.
